The development of Sintered Sleeve Sliding Shaft Iron Bushing dates back to the early 1950s when the demand for high quality and reliable bearings was on the rise. At that time, the traditional bearing materials such as bronze, brass and steel were not able to meet the demands of the emerging industries. The idea of using sintered iron powder as a bearing material was first proposed in the 1950s by Dr. K. Severson, a metallurgical engineer.

After extensive research and testing, sintered iron powder was found to be an excellent material for bushings as it had the right combination of strength, durability and lubrication properties. The process of sintering involves heating the iron powder to a temperature above its melting point but below its boiling point, which leads to the formation of a solid and porous bushing.
