DALON self-lubricating sintered bronze bushing are manufactured of pressed copper and tin powders by sintered technology and impregnated with lubricating oil and high porosity (20-25% in volume). The oil contained in the porosity provides a constant lubrication between bearing and shaft, the system does not need any additional external lubricant, allows this type of sintered bronze bushing to work under hydrodynamic conditions. which resulting in a very low friction coefficient and maintenance-free for general engineering applications.

Storage of Oil Impregnated Bushing – These bearings must be stored in non-absorbing containers. Do not store in paper or cloth container. Do not store in cardboard boxes. The best containers are made of plastic or metal.

Supplementary Lubrication – Additional lubrication can be provided through the use of oil soaked felts, wicks, etc. or by periodic oiling. A unique advantage of this type of bearing is that it does not require any grooving or holes to distribute the oil across the bearing face due to the microscopic pores in the bearing material.
