The solid lubricant powder is mixed with the powdered bearing base material, shaped, and heated to form a sintered bearing. The case where it is matched with the shaft diameter is called a sintered bearing. This kind of bearing will continuously provide solid lubricant to the friction surface during the friction process.
The strength of the sintered bearing is proportional to the mass fraction of the lubricant. Considering the strength of the bearing bush and the tribological properties, the mass fraction of the lubricant is often restricted to less than 10% in industrial production.
