How The Muffler Works

Jan 15, 2020

The muffler is a device that can not only allow the air flow to pass smoothly, but also effectively prevent or reduce the outward propagation of sound energy. It is worth pointing out that the muffler can only be used to reduce the noise of air intake and exhaust ports of the aerodynamic equipment or the noise transmitted along the pipeline, but not to reduce the radiated noise of the aerodynamic equipment's casing, pipe wall, and motor. Therefore, not all noise sources can reduce the noise by installing a muffler. The muffler is designed for aerodynamic noise.
