Basic Characteristics And Performance Of Sintered Metal Filter
Jan 13, 2023
By specially engineered sintered porous metal media with a stable porous matrix, precise bubble point specifications, tight thickness tolerances and permeability uniformity for reliable filtration performance, effective backwash cleaning and long service life . Controlled pore size is critical to ensure effective particle removal from process streams and subsequent particle removal during backwashing. Particulates can be unwanted pollutants, desired products of chemical processes, or reusable catalysts. Removal of particulates can improve the quality (value) of downstream liquid streams, or facilitate subsequent processing of waste streams.
The permanent structure of the sintered metal filter media allows the element to be cleaned in a variety of ways without media migration.
Proper selection of alloy type for corrosion resistance and media grade for particle removal ensures liquid purity during separation. Cleaning in place in process filters is performed by liquid or gas backwashing. Chemical cleaning with compatible materials or ultrasonic cleaning in a detergent solution will remove insoluble contaminants from the filter.
